Eddie Schmidt (born August 29, 1970) is a director, producer, writer, commentator and satirist. He is perhaps best known for producing several feature documentaries that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, including the Oscar nominated Twist Of Faith (2005), the irreverent This Film Is Not Yet Rated (2006), the Emmy-nominated Troubadours (2011) and the twice Emmy-nominated Valentine Road (2013).〔http://archive.sundance.org/film/13032/valentine_road〕 From 2009-2011, he served as President of the IDA (International Documentary Association), and was its interim Executive Director for the latter half of 2008. ==Life and career== Schmidt attended Vassar College, where he received a BA in Drama/Film in 1992.
